Design today, for the future - Understanding the invisible impact of what we are creating

Today, more than ever, design thinkers will need to keep focus on creating human-centred solutions which also serve our planet.

About this session

About this webinar

The current state of the world affects all of us. It fosters uncertainty, creates abnormal conditions, and raises unforeseen challenges. We’re reminded that design thinkers have been trained to address uncertainty, work within constraints, and create human-centered solutions. People with a human-centered mindset are primed to solve problems together, with empathy and humility.

Today, more than ever, design thinkers will need to keep focus on creating human-centred solutions which also serve our planet.

Sophie will talk about how we often as designers are fare away from the consequences of our design impact, and that we have a responsibility to understand the invisible impact of what we are creating.

She will give us some insights into IBMs Enterprise Design Thinking framework and show case how some of the classic activities with a little adjustment and twist can be used so we can adopt a sustainable mindset and frame the problem area within sustainability.
